How to use Add Page Numbers

  1. 1Choose a PDF file.
  2. 2Tap where the numbers should go on the mini page: top or bottom, left, centre or right.
  3. 3Pick a style such as “Page 1 of 10”, a text size and the first number.
  4. 4Tap “Add page numbers” and download the numbered PDF.

Number your PDF pages in seconds

Reports, theses, assignments and legal bundles often need page numbers. Choose a position in the header or footer, a style like “Page 3 of 12” and the number to start from. You can also number only some pages, for example everything after the cover.

Free and private

No sign-up, no watermark and no upload. The PDF is edited in your browser and keeps its original quality.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The numbers are added in your browser, so the file stays on your device.

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Type the pages to number, such as 2-, and set the first number to 1. The cover stays unnumbered and page two shows 1.

What about rotated or landscape pages?

Numbers are placed on the page as you see it, so they read the right way up on landscape and rotated pages too.

Can I remove the numbers later?

The numbers become part of the page. Keep your original file if you might need a version without them.
