How to use Image to SVG

  1. 1Tap “Choose an image” and pick a PNG, JPG or WebP file.
  2. 2Pick a style: realistic, flat, low poly, pixel art, cartoon, screen print or line art.
  3. 3Open “Fine-tune settings” to change colours, detail, smoothing, outlines and more.
  4. 4Recolour or hide layers, then download SVG, layered SVG, PNG or PDF.

Convert any image to an editable vector

An SVG is made of shapes instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size: on a business card, a T-shirt or a billboard. This converter reads your image, groups it into colour regions, traces the outline of each region and writes smooth Bézier curves you can edit, recolour and scale freely.

Seven styles, every setting adjustable

  • Realistic vector keeps shading and gradients with many colour regions.
  • Flat vector simplifies shapes into a clean illustration with solid colours.
  • Low poly builds the image from triangles that follow its edges.
  • Pixel art turns it into a grid of blocks with a limited palette.
  • Cartoon adds bold outlines and vivid colours.
  • Screen print separates it into a few inks with a halftone dot layer.
  • Logo & line art makes crisp two-colour shapes.

Picking a style only sets a starting point. You can still change the colour count from 2 to 256, the detail level, path smoothing, edge detection, noise reduction, gradients, outline thickness, texture, background, corners, contrast, brightness and saturation.

Export formats

Download a compact SVG, a layered SVG with one group per colour for design apps, a high-resolution transparent PNG, or a print-ready vector PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. Tracing, stylizing and exporting all run inside your browser on your own device. Your image never leaves your phone or computer.

Which mode should I use for a logo?

Use “Logo & line art” for one-colour logos, signatures and drawings. For logos with a few flat colours, use “Flat vector” and set the colour count to the number of colours in the logo.

Can I edit the SVG in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma?

Yes. Every shape is a normal SVG path. The layered SVG puts each colour in its own named group, which Inkscape shows as layers and Illustrator and Figma show as groups.

Why is my SVG file large?

Photos have many colour regions. Lower the colour count, choose a lower detail level or the “Simple” layer complexity, and raise path smoothing. The size is shown under the preview so you can compare.

How do I get a transparent background?

Set Background to “Remove” to clear the area connected to the image edges, or “Transparent” to clear every pixel close to the background colour. Then export SVG or PNG.
