How to use Rotate & Flip Image

90°
A photo turns 90 degrees
  1. 1Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
  2. 2Tap Left or Right to rotate 90°, or the Flip buttons to mirror it. The preview updates instantly.
  3. 3Tap “Save image” and download the result.

Fix sideways and mirrored photos

A photo taken with the phone held sideways, or a selfie that comes out mirrored, is easy to fix. Rotate in 90° steps, flip horizontally or vertically, and save the corrected image.

The saved file has the rotation applied to the pixels themselves, so it displays the right way up on every website, app and printer.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Rotating and flipping happen in your browser, so your image never leaves your device.

Why does my photo look sideways on some websites?

Phones often save the rotation as a hidden tag instead of turning the pixels. Some sites ignore that tag. Saving the photo here bakes the correct rotation into the image itself.

What is the difference between rotate and flip?

Rotate turns the picture like a steering wheel. Flip mirrors it, like a reflection, which is useful for selfies that come out reversed.

Does rotating reduce quality?

Saving as PNG keeps full quality. Saving as JPG at the default 92% quality looks the same to the eye.
