WebP to JPG, right in your browser
Many websites now serve images as WebP. When you save one, you may find it won’t open in older photo apps or won’t upload to a form that only accepts JPG.
This tool converts WebP to a standard JPG that works everywhere. Transparent areas, if any, are filled with white.
Frequently asked questions
Are my WebP files uploaded when I convert them to JPG?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device. Your image is never sent to a server, so it stays private.
Why do images download as WebP?
Websites use WebP because it’s smaller than JPG at the same quality, which makes pages load faster.
Does it work with animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted, because JPG can’t hold animation.
Can I convert several files at once?
Not yet. Convert one image at a time for now; batch conversion is planned.
